Film and television are hugely popular industries for students looking for fun and fulfilling careers, and new programs are opening every year at post-secondary institutions across Canada.

The University of Montreal now offers its first program to combine film theory with hands-on experience. Film studies professors at U of M are moulding a new breed of film student, who can create a film and deconstruct it as well.

Fine Cut also looks at advomentary, documentary filmmaking that doesn't attempt or pretend to be obective. These films let the opinions and emotions of their authors and subjects shine through, using cinematic narrative to elicit specific emotional responses from audiences.
